  • 400 grams spaghetti
  • 100 grams bacon chopped
  • 2 large eggs lightly beaten
  • 50 grams Parmesan cheese grated
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • Salt to taste

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. In a pan, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and grated Parmesan cheese. Add the freshly ground black pepper.
  4. Once the spaghetti is done, reserve a cup of the pasta water, then drain the spaghetti and add it to the pan with bacon and garlic.
  5. Remove from heat and quickly mix in the egg and cheese mixture, adding reserved pasta water as necessary to create a creamy sauce.
  6. Serve immediately, garnished with additional Parmesan cheese and black pepper.
